The Inclusive Partnership Movement for MSMEs Upgrading is one of the events that aim to improve the welfare of MSME activists. Held at the Smesco Building on October 3, 2022, CROWDE was in attendance as one of the actors in the private sector who synergize and collaborate with the government, as well as MSME actors to achieve food security goals.
The movement, which was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), aims to invite all stakeholders—both private and government—to cooperate with MSMEs. This collaboration is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s economic growth with MSMEs as the backbone.
Not only present, but CROWDE also opened a booth, so that they could interact directly with all stakeholders, particularly the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo; the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Hamonangan Laoly; the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto; the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arsjad Rasjid; the Vice Chairman of KADIN for Food Agribusiness and Forestry, Franky Oesman Widjaja; and the Vice Chairman of KADIN for Entrepreneurship, Aldi Haryopratomo.
In its journey, CROWDE aims to continue to help farmer partners and MSMEs to jointly create inclusive agriculture with the help of digitalization. CROWDE is one of the private actors that have significant impacts on empowering farmers in Indonesia.
The constraints of farmers who do not have access to financing, supply poor quality inputs, and cannot use technology can be overcome. The access to knowledge which was limited can be upgraded by opening access to additional knowledge and training. Likewise, the access to sales and marketing, which was previously limited to unstable prices, can now be more in line with market prices.
After joining CROWDE, farmer partners have undergone many changes, including:
- Receiving financial access in the form of SAPROTAN to make the product guaranteed.
- Obtaining assistance & monitoring with technology and experts.
- Direct sales access to the first buyer.
Not only that, but periodic empowerment carried out by CROWDE also results in:
- Increased farmer productivity by 60%.
- Increase in farmers’ income by 150%.
- 38,000 farmers in Indonesia who have been integrated and have received empowerment from CROWDE.
“KADIN believes that private companies and the government play a crucial role in efforts to strengthen MSMEs. With this movement, companies will be able to run inclusive partnerships or direct assistance to MSMEs, including farmers and fishermen throughout Indonesia,” said the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Arsjad Rasjid.
